- I wonder, if someone got benchmark results for lisp (cmu-lisp
- preferred) comparing the various SPARC- und DECstations (and perhaps
- HP 9000/700).

- I think my wizards may have some comparative performance numbers for CMU CL
- hidden away, but if you're asking for the obvious reason (deciding what
- machine to use), the speed numbers probably don't matter. CMU Common Lisp
- is not yet available for the HP 9000/700. On the Decstations, it runs only
- under Mach or OSF/1, not Ultrix. So the SPARC implementation is pretty
- much the only choice for outside (non-Mach) users at the moment.
