  12.      This is propably a simple problem.  But I'm trying to write an invoice
  13. type program for a friend.  I know how to read and write to a file but how
  14. do you say save an invoice number, or a debit, credit amount, and then add
  15. something to it.  I know how you get stuff from a file, but only character
  16. by character, not integers that I can add + 1 to.
  17.      If this makes sense, please help.
