  25. I asserted an opinion, that being that freely available software
  26. flourishes best when source is available too, at least on UNIX platforms.
  27. Correction, I didn't even assert the opinion - I agreed with what was
  28. already there.

  30. I certainly did NOT condemn or slam their efforts.  I am grateful
  31. and pleased to see ANY free software release.  There is no such
  32. thing as a negative contribution in this arena, except perhaps
  33. postings like yours.

  37. In fact, I said nothing negative at all about the package.  I simply
  38. state that it would be interesting to me if it had source code.  Since
  39. it does not, PBMPLUS suits me just fine.

  41. Actually, one of the interesting things about the package is that
  42. it supports HDF.  I wish more utilities did.
