  10. Any help with the following problems greatly appreciated!

  12. First of all, I have tried to subscribe the the explorer mailing list
  13. through explorer-request@castle.ed.ac.uk and have had no response.
  14. Could my request getting lost somewhere?  Could someone from the list
  15. please contact me?

  17. Secondly:
  18. I have had some problems building explorer modules.  
  19.  
  20.   a) I tried to enter the example module in the User's Guide (3.1.1),
  21.      but my created module seems to crash with the next call to the Explorer
  22.      API after I call cxGeoRoot(); (I discovered this by doing simple
  23.      printf's after each call, so I may be off here.) 
  24.  
  25.   b) On a module under development, we discovered that we needed to add another
  26.      input port.  We edited the .mres with module builder and added the
  27.      code to call it within our function.  (We are not using the Data
  28.      Wrapper we are using X in a drawing area)  I call cxInputPortOpen
  29.      and I get back an integer (3, the third parameter defined in the
  30.      mbuilder)  But when I call cxInputDataGet, I get a ptr  to 0 and
  31.      then, of course, the call to cxParamStrGet fails.  When I try to
  32.      get its type, cxParmTypeGet returns a -1.
