- I am in the processes of creating some animations using Rayshade 4.0
- to render the scenes. As I would like to post them for public consumption,
- I'd like to build FLI, GL, DL, or MPEG as I suspect these will be easier for
- most people to view versus RLE or MIFF (ImageMagick). Quicktime is also
- an option if I can get a Unix based viewer.
-
- Without sparking a controversy about which format would be best, I'd like
- information about where I can get public domain software that I can build
- under Unix to create animations in any (or all) of the above formats.
-
- For the curious, I'll be building simple motion animations of steam engines
- (both stationary and railroad locomotives). I'll probably post them
- to alt.binaries.pictures.misc unless I can find a good ftp site that will
- carry them.
