  15. People, people...the original poster wanted a home system. Now, if Indigos
  16. and Crimsons are Home Systems to you people, GREAT, I'm JEALOUS... But I
  17. assumed that by that he meant a hobby system.

  19. 486's may be a hobby system for some, but I still tend to think that they're
  20. a little pricey yet for a hobbyist. My own 386 (no, I'm NOT a Mac bigot,
  21. I loathe them) is doggedly slow (at 40 mhz) and I would'nt recommend it
  22. when my experience with Macs has been so much better.

  24. And NO, I don't claim to know which package is best, but the stuff that 
  25. comes out of the Mac animation lab I work in is damned impressive for
  26. the hardware/software price.
