- The son (12 years old) of a friend is very interested
- in learning to "program." He seems to be intelligent,
- has a PC, and plays with basic. (ok, ok,.. he's
- 12 years old :-). well, he has expressed an interest
- in a more structured approach to learning. not just
- everyday hacking. his dad is willing to buy him a
- course, or learning materials... they have looked
- at computer camps for kids; but, they all seem to be
- courses for learning to use specific applications (i.e.,
- WordPerfect)... which is NOT what he wants to do..
-
- Does anybody know of courses, tapes, materials, or
- software for elementary education in computer science?
-
- Please respond via email.
