- I am about to connect 12 Telebit T3000s to an ASM/3-96. I already have
- twelve Telebit T2500s on the terminal server. No other devices will be
- attached to this terminal server.
-
- My question is: what is the best way to distribute the modems on the
- serial ports to get the best throughput?
-
- The CSC-16s have 16 serial ports with eight chips that appear to service
- the ports. How are they distributed? does the first chip support ports
- 1 and 2 or does it support ports 1 and 8? does port speed matter?
- If so at what speed does this become a problem? 38400?
- I intend to run the ports at 57600.
-
- Also, if I do not use all of the CSC-16s to attach the modems, would it
- hurt performance if I left them in?
-
- Thanks,
- Mike
