- Hello.
-
- I have a client on campus that would like a "menu" to appear on the
- screen of a terminal connected to an ASM [running TS3-S 8.3(5)
- and TS2-R 8.3(5)]. The menu states to type "a" for one host, and "b"
- for another host.
-
- The menu is produced using the BANNER command. The selections "a" and
- "b" are defined using the ip host command such as:
-
- .
- .
- .
- ip host a 128.200.xxx.yyy !where xxx.yyy are valid subnet.host
- ip host b 128.200.xxx.yyy
- .
- .
- .
-
-
- This part works. I.E. when the client types "a" or "b" the correct
- host is reached.
-
- I would like to have a login-string command start upon a successfule
- connection to the host.
-
- Is there a way to have the successful connection to one of these two
- hosts invoke a login-string command? Is there an equivalent command to
- the ip host command for ip-names or cnames? (this so that the
- login-string will work.)
-
- Better yet, is there a better way to perform this? ;-). I have an 8.3
- manual. I haven't been able to find the answer I want.
