  14. To connect up a V.32bis modem to dial into an Annex 3
  15. serial port:
  16.  
  17. - turn off all XON/XOFF flow control stuff on your modem
  18. - turn ON hardware (CTS/RTS) flow control on the modem
  19. - enable V.42bis compression on the modem
  20. - lock the serial port to 38.4Kbps (both on the modem side
  21.   and on the Annex)
  22. - on the Annex, set control_lines to `both' (modem control
  23.   and hardware flow)
  24. - set input_flow and output_flow to `eia'.
