- It's very unlikely to occur except in the most expensive V.32bis modems.
- V.fast will likely require a lot more CPU horsepower than is needed for
- V.32bis; a modem with that kind of hardware should be at the top end of
- the price scalee of current modems and you'd be paying money for
- unneeded CPU power.

- The exception seems to be USRobotics, who have a modular PC board which
- places the parts subject to upgrade on a small daughterboard. Then again,
- their Dual Standard isn't exactly cheap anyway.
