- Penn State's Office of Telecommunications (apparently) had this attitude when
- they set up their modem pool. Sometimes, their modems get into a state where
- you cannot connect with either V.42 or MNP. When they're in this state, even
- though I can connect just fine with v.32bis/none, the terminal server never
- gives me its banner, and I can't log in.
