- -> I've just read somewhere that a U-1496 S/S+ exists. What does the
- -> "S" mean?
- -> I've also read somwhere that a U-1496 X exists. It apparently is a
- -> "S" model with oscilliscope [X & Y Axis outputs to display "eye" and
- -> "constellation" diagrams for signal analysis]. Cool. Umm. What
- -> does that mean? RWW.
- The S stands for standalone.I have ordered recently today one with
- the eye for X/Y oscilliscope availablity.The scope option is extra over
- the base price,if interested you may e-mail me.I will cross post you
- note to another user who has recently acquired a scoped S+ and who can
- tell you more about this function.The current S+ is 16800 proprietary
- and is upgradeable to 19200 when that becomes available.We beleive this
- to be one of the finest modems on the market.
