- Sorry for making you type such a long message, but I of course have the
- modem set in &D3 mode, and have always set my modems that way for years.
- I can't imagine setting a modem any other way and feeling safe.

- However, I would not feel too scared of it. The chances of it are slim,
- nobody makes v.32bis without v.42 that I know of, and also it's not a
- very usable modulation. There are so many points in the matrix for
- v.32bis that you had better have error detection.
