- into the motherboard. In my case the 8250 UART was socketed, so that it
- was easy to exchange it with a 16550AFN UART. In case you cant find a
- separate UART, use a program like MSD.EXE to identify what you have.

- Please note that you dont always need a 16550 UART. Just for the fun of
- it I have removed mine a couple months ago and adjusted the serial
- speeds down from 57,200 to 38,400 bps. I even use Ymodem-G without
- problems. Your mileage may vary.
