- Well, an obvious option is to check the manual. I can't find a standard
- command or S register for 'action on escape sequence' in my ZyXEL, Telebit, or
- Hayes manuals, but I do believe that I saw some such function in the manual of
- another modem I've used (most likely USRobotics or perhaps GVC, less likely
- Compcom - ugh).

- Also, USRobotics' 9600 bps Courier HSTs had some strange limitation on what
- you could do with the escape sequence while connected in HST mode; I don't
- remember the details, but it's possible that the HST will hang up when it acts
- on the escape sequence, even if that isn't what you want.

- modem you have... my memory obviously needs refreshing. <grin>
