  25. If you will carefully check the ads you will see that the TelePath is
  26. indeed advertised as a separate product that will only be sold to
  27. those that purchase or have previously purchased a *separate* Gateway
  28. computer system (*any* Gateway system).  That is clearly a per se
  29. unlawful tie-in sales practice.

  38. Again, I'm afraid that you are misinformed -- that is the price for a
  39. separate purchase.  It's no more an upgrade than a laser printer would
  40. be.

  42. FWIW, Gateway accepted my order this morning for a Telepath ($205
  43. delivered) even though I do not have a Gateway system.

  45. TO ALL:  Be warned that most of the phone reps at Gateway do not yet
  46. "understand" the new policy.  If you want to order the telepath, be
  47. sure to call the new "components" order number (not the main order
  48. number) and ask for a supervisor.  As I recall Chris was the one that
  49. I dealt with.  Feel free to use my name.  And if that doesn't work,
  50. send me netmail and I will refer it to the S.D. Attorney General for
  51. further action.

  56. p.s.  To those that have panned the TelePath here, I'll let you know
  57. how it works for me as compared to my USR Sportster 14400 once I have
  58. a chance to test it.
