- If you will carefully check the ads you will see that the TelePath is
- indeed advertised as a separate product that will only be sold to
- those that purchase or have previously purchased a *separate* Gateway
- computer system (*any* Gateway system). That is clearly a per se
- unlawful tie-in sales practice.

-
- Again, I'm afraid that you are misinformed -- that is the price for a
- separate purchase. It's no more an upgrade than a laser printer would
- be.
-
- FWIW, Gateway accepted my order this morning for a Telepath ($205
- delivered) even though I do not have a Gateway system.
-
- TO ALL: Be warned that most of the phone reps at Gateway do not yet
- "understand" the new policy. If you want to order the telepath, be
- sure to call the new "components" order number (not the main order
- number) and ask for a supervisor. As I recall Chris was the one that
- I dealt with. Feel free to use my name. And if that doesn't work,
- send me netmail and I will refer it to the S.D. Attorney General for
- further action.
-
- Best regards,
- John
-
- p.s. To those that have panned the TelePath here, I'll let you know
- how it works for me as compared to my USR Sportster 14400 once I have
- a chance to test it.
