  21. My company does both development and marketing on a fax product.  As I am
  22. one of the guys responsible for that development of that product, here are
  23. some details:
  24.  
  25.     * i(F)x runs on most UNIX boxes which OS is compatible
  26.       with SVR4. This includes the HP 700, IBM RS6000, DataGeneral,
  27.       Unisys, SCO UNIX.
  28.     * i(F)x supports Rank Xerox telecopiers (7021 and 7033) and most of
  29.       the AT+ class2 faxes. All in ONE configuration!
  30.     * Supported datatypes: ASCII, PBM, G3, WordPerfect data, PostScript.
  31.       The user can easily add support for other datatypes.
  32.     * Automatic generation of coverpages. Tailored to user wishes.
  33.     * Integration of scanned images, pictures, logos and signatures in
  34.       a document or the coverpage.
  35.     * Automatic routing of received fax messages to some printer.
  36.     * Configurable parameters like: batch-size, retry count and time.
  37.     * Restricted transmission based on combination of phone number
  38.       pattern and hour table.
  39.     * Restricted transmission based on list of user names.
  40.     * Multi language version, supporting: English, Dutch, German and
  41.       French.  The user can easily add support for other languages.

  43. We are currently working on a Client-Server version for either DOS or
  44. UNIX clients in a TCP/IP network.  The user-interface for the DOS client
  45. is based on the windows environment.  DOS clients should have a socket
  46. library available.

  48. The i(F)x package goes with a complete set of four manuals (user technical,
  49. user interface, system administrator and programming guide) and the system
  50. manual pages.

  52. The product has been designed keeping software integration possibilities in
  53. mind.  So if you want to put fax functionality in your own software, think
  54. about integrating i(F)x instead of developing your own fax sollution.
