- Ask your friendly phone company if instead of just providing a hunt
- to the next line on busy, if they can provide a hunt on "busy or
- no answer" instead. You may be able to pick how many rings too,
- so if you can set three rings (enough for the modem to normally
- answer) then if it's down it will go to the next line. If you
- set too many rings the caller will time out before the next modem
- answers.
