  10. I just bought an April Technologies V.32bai / v.17 Data/Faxmodem.
  11. It did not come with any fax software, so I tried bitfax and ql2fax.
  12. Bitfax returns an error message "Not TR-29 software (COM1)".
  13. Ql2fax returns "Modem not responding"

  15. Any idea what kind of software this little beastie needs to play nice?

  17. It's pretty obvious that April Tech is fronting for some other manufacturer.
  18. Their name is only stickered on the box and screened on the modem.  
  19. The modem manual makes no mention of them.  It simply reads "14,400 PocketFax/
  20. DataModem".

  22. Is there shareware software I could try?
  23. Is there some comercial product that is good at talking to various types
  24. of modems?

  26. Isn't this standardized yet?
