Hello,
    This is yet another possible supra bugs.  The ROM for the modem
    in question is the J version. (With caller ID)   Recently, I
    noticed some inconsistant behavior on my supra.   During the first
    few attempts, as soon as it connect with the remote fax machine,
    it will retrain and of course, it just hangs there.   But does
    fax transmission allows/requires retrian?  Doing a atz reset,
    the modem would connect just fine, but then, it just hangs up
    (the Off Hook led goes out!) in the middle of the transmission.
    playing around with different init script (at&f, at&f2) as well
    as other s register does not really help.  Maybe I am just doing
    something which is totally irrelevant, but after the few trials,
    including switching off the modems, things start working flawlessly
    (knock on wood...)  At this point, I am quite clueless what was
    happening because I am just unconciously poking around...  I am
    therefore seeking help for all the superior out there...  Any
    info/suggestion will be greatly appreciated and as usual, if there's
    any interest at all, I will summarize.  Oh, E-mail preferred since
    I might not get access to the net for next week.
