-
- I tried Oracle Card and got mixed impressions. I like the basic
- philosophy but there are a lot of quirks which prevent one from building
- "real world" applications. The user interface is awful and the speed
- is unacceptable (at least for me).
-
- Oracle Card is based on the HyperCard clone Spinnaker PLUS with the
- addition of interface code to Oracle Access (contained in a DLL)
- and some Oracle Talk scripts. In my opinion, most of the problems are
- in the underlying PLUS.
-
- I would like to see a new improved version of Oracle Card which would
- be a really nice prototyping tool. There is a rumor that a new version
- will be released beginning next year.
