  12. Does anyone know how to get the Unix pid associated with a database
  13. connection?  I already have a script which removes all database connections
  14. except for ingres owned connections ( I wish Ingres would supply this for
  15. offline checkpointing etc...perhaps in the new releases).  What I would like
  16. to do then is send a HUP/KILL signal to the processes which had the database
  17. connections.  Perhaps this is too much to ask since the process can originate
  18. on a client machine.  Does anyone have any thoughts?
