- Although I don't know of a single chip solution, there are a couple
- of useful devices you may like to take a look at.
- These are the Inmos IMSA121, and the SGS-Thomson STV3208.
- Both of these perform the Discrete Cosine Transform in 8x8 blocks,
- and for information on this I refer you to the paper
- "Image compression using a discrete cosine image processor"
- by D J Bailey, and N Birch of Inmos
