  12. I am writing a recipe database system in Turbo Pascal for Windows 
  13. (I'm waiting for the OS/2 version).  I was thinking of using compression
  14. for storing the recipes (I have several thousand).  I few ideas 
  15. occured in my head on how to do the compression, but alas, I
  16. am no compression expert.  Where should I go to find compression 
  17. algorithms?  Do people post algorithms to this conference?  Should
  18. I look in the library?  Also, I plan on making this recipe database
  19. shareware, so I guess I need permission to use algorithms...?

  21. By the way, this would be text only...I bet an algorithm can be tailored
  22. to work with text to improve performance...
