- Hello all,
-
- I am writing a recipe database system in Turbo Pascal for Windows
- (I'm waiting for the OS/2 version). I was thinking of using compression
- for storing the recipes (I have several thousand). I few ideas
- occured in my head on how to do the compression, but alas, I
- am no compression expert. Where should I go to find compression
- algorithms? Do people post algorithms to this conference? Should
- I look in the library? Also, I plan on making this recipe database
- shareware, so I guess I need permission to use algorithms...?
-
- By the way, this would be text only...I bet an algorithm can be tailored
- to work with text to improve performance...
