- All I know are the AHA3101 and AHA3210 chips.
- Both chips use the DCLZ (Data Compression LZ) algorithm.
- A floppy with DCLZ software in C is available from the manufacturer.
- The AHA3101 needs external SRAM and compresses 2.5 Mbyte/s
- The AHA3210 has its own RAM and compresses 10 Mbyte/s
- Both chips are only available as 100pin Plastic Quad Flat Pak
- The AHA3210 costs in Germany about DM 200,-- (~ 130 US$) in
- quantities >= 10.

- Hope this helps. Sorry, but I have no experience with these chips.
-
- We are currently looking for a chip which is smaller (and cheaper)
- than the AHA3210. We only need a compression rate of about
- 0.5 Mbyte/s.
-
- Could someone give us any reference?
