  19. Define "best" for me...  and "free"... we've all got our favorites,
  20. that's why we use them.  What operating system are you running, and 
  21. what are you looking for in terms of features, security, reliability,
  22. number of lines, doors (externals), flexibility, etc.

  24. I'd be happy to tell you the virtues of my favorites, and why I've chosen 
  25. them... but if you want some advice that will help YOU, you've got to 
  26. give me some requirements other than "free" and best.

  28. You do have access to usenet... do you want your BBS to have similar 
  29. access?  What sort of messaging capabilities... all this has a definite 
  30. bearing on any USEFUL suggestions.
