  15. You should have read the rest of his posting since ghostview is (as far as I
  16. know) only available for X-windows. For a PC the thing you need is ghostscript
  17. which in the PC version includes VGA, EGA and so on as output devices. I.e.
  18. no separate viewer is needed for the PC while on Unix platforms ghostview is
  19. not a part of ghostscript but needs ghostscript as well.
  20. So what you really need for a PC is ghostscript and the related fonts. You'll
  21. find them in msdos.postscript on SIMTEL:
  22. 24*.zip - fonts
  23. 25*.zip - new fonts, replace some of the 2.4 fonts
  24. gs252*.zip - executables etc
  25. samples.zip - examples
  26. Install everything as explained in one of the documentation files (man.doc or
  27. use.doc don't remember) and if you run under Windows simply associate .ps
  28. with gswin.exe. That's it. Don't forget to set GS_LIB environment variable.
