  42. The enclosed executables were created with Microsoft C 6.00A with dmake 3.8
  43. under OS/2. Small changes to the supplied makefile were required. The
  44. command-line follows the usual UNIX-style syntax (input file is optional, 
  45. and output is to stdout).

  47. The JPEG executables compiled with gcc/2 for OS/2 by Meir I. Green
  48. (mig@columbia.edu) are considerably faster than the 16-bit versions.
