- 1993 CANADIAN SEMICONDUCTOR DESIGN ASSOCIATION Award: Chips in Action
-
-
- The Canadian Semiconductor Design Association (CSDA) is sponsoring a $3,000
- design award at the Canadian Microelectronics Corporation (CMC) Workshop in
- May 1993. Competitors for the CSDA award must demonstrate a working chip
- which has been designed into the CMC silicon technology base or has been
- designed using CMC tools. Both faculty and students at Canadian universities
- can participate in the competition.
-
- The CMC workshop is scheduled for May 17-21, 1993 and will include various
- events on the theme of Design Standards and Conventions. The CHIPS & CAD IN
- ACTION session, which will include the CSDA award competition, provides an
- opportunity for researchers to present the results of their latest work.
-
- The CSDA award is to be used to further the winner's education in
- microelectronics, preferably in an area relating to telecommunications
- applications. It may be applied to the cost of attending a conference or
- workshop or visiting a laboratory or other technical facility. A brief report
- will be required to describe how the award was used.
-
- Criteria for judging will include technical and presentation excellence. For
- more information on the conditions for entry and judging criteria, please
- contact Gail Burgess at CMC.
