  16. I have to agree with Kathy, there are faculty members in my dept. who
  17. don't think psychology is a science and don't think it needs to be.
  18. I am thankful that they are in the minority.  Nonetheless, the
  19. attitude does exist.  At the same time, we are well accepted as
  20. members of the scientific community outside our dept.  I get special
  21. invitations to events in biology, chemistry, and physics.  I am in
  22. neuroscience, however, and I am not sure that students in other areas
  23. of psychology are included in inter-departmental mailings.  Perhaps I
  24. am unique.  (I am trying out a new networking system on my computer
  25. so could someone please let me know if this message goes to the list
  26. or just to Kathy?  Thanks in advance.
