  12. I have already received some notes from volunteers, and I'm very greatful.

  14. I just wanted to remind you that moderators and presenters have their NUGM
  15. registration fees waived.  Those of you who have a hard time coming up
  16. with the money for NUGM might look for opportunities to volunteer.
  17.  
  18. The moderators are responsible for keeping the presenters on their toes,
  19. turning in all of the material in time for inclusion in the conference
  20. manuals, and in time to get the registration fee waived.  They often will
  21. also take a topic of interest and try to recruit presenters.  The moderator
  22. also makes requests for the equipment (overhead projector, slides, etc.)

  24. Please be generous in volunteering.  As someone who presented at 2 sessions
  25. last year and moderated 2 sessions, it really helps to have lots of folks
  26. who can volunteer for one thing to avoid burnout.  Besides, it's kind of fun.
