- I've been following the discussion on NOTIS-L and the solutions there seem
- pretty labor intensive. For loading LX/PAPERBACKS we can figure out what the
- most appropriate way to code the class type and that will take care of part
- of it but, best I can tell,will still require entering the message that you
- decide on in each copy holdings record. Are your unclassified journals in a
- location that also contains items with call numbers? The loader will supply
- the same class type code to all the items in a location. It is smart enough
- to distinguish a DD froem a LC call number but that's about as far as it goes.
