- Having bent the ears of the list readership (what is the proper metaphor
- for e-mail?), I must clarify: I am not about to give up NB, and it is
- certainly superior to WP--but not as much superior as it was. That
- layered list business for help is one of the things I specifically
- dislike about Word Perfect. Was the change from NB3 to NB4 partially
- motivated by a desire to seem more familiar to possible WP converts?
- And yes, Robert Kelly, the print-to-disk feature is a royal pain in
- WP--I never did figure it out.

- In the Golden World of version 3, life was idyllic, and software
- engineers were truly using their might and gifts in the service of the
- academic community. But then a vision of Greater
- Profit came into the midst of the Company, and it departed on a quest
- for this profane Grail; and the fall of Camelot can be foreseen.
- Already we have lost the Magic Dragonfly; according to the myth, we can
- next expect to find that Guinevere (who can this be but Rebecca?) is
- being courted by a dashing lover from foreign soil--IBM? Microsoft?
-
- And whom do we cast as Modred?
