- I know that Steve of NBI was keeping a computer file of bugs that people
- reported top him at the SBL/AAR convention in San Francisco. May I add to the
- list two problems. They probably are not "bugs" or even "buglets", just
- ill-conceived deprovements:
- 1. I sorely miss the info and help files of NB 3.1. I tried to work with
- columns and missed an overview screen on how to insert lines etc. that we used
- to have.
-
- 2. I absolutely despise, hate, deplore, reject, etc. (I'm not using the
- Thesaurus here since it always says insufficient memory any way) the way NB4
- handles columns. I wrote a "matching test" yesterday (I realize it's a
- pedagogical cop-out!) and thought I would go crazy trying to handle the
- cursor; it's so very poorly designed. I used to use it a lot, but now....
- The use of home and end keys in this "novel" way introduces a element of
- unanticipateable spontaneity in cursor control.
