- I have had a rotten time with a host of things today, not great in
- themselves, but which do not add to the gaiety of nations. I feel
- pretty disappointed and indeed quite flamey. What I cannot understand
- is why there have been so many small and unncessary changes in NB4. To
- put it bluntly, I am beginning to wonder....
-
- Has anyone any help or comment to offer on these? Is there a list of
- gripes NBI is dealing with?
-
- 1. I am really irritated by the loss of the procedure in v. 3 whereby
- addresses (ending with .ad-) could be trransferred to a letter with
- f1-l-s-t-(directory name, choose, then f10). Or am I missing something?
-
- 2. Transferring a marked block to the action line with grey + does
- not work. Categorical. See p. 4 of the Changes and New Features Guide.
-
- 3. It is __still__ not possible to make a change along the lines of
- the following:
-
- ci \A<something>A\A<somethingelse>A\
- (where A is a wild alphanumeric) without losing the A's.
- Conflamugrate it, even __Wordstar__ was able to do this, unless I
- misremember. I don't think that it's the answer to write an xpl
- routine, though that's easy enough in itself.
-
- 4. And a discovery: if you have a format delta at the start of an
- address block (for example FL, because you have FR to stick the
- sender's address and the date on the right), then the address block
- can't be copied to an envelope. The delta can, however, be at the
- start of the necessary blank line.
