  46. I am not able to check this properly, but I do recall something about
  47. characters in note numbering being affected by the footnote mode
  48. settings in the printer driver used. I think the discussion centred
  49. around one of us who wanted a bracket around or after the footnote
  50. number and before the note itself, but without upsetting the right
  51. margin. Does this take matters further....?
