  20. us, the M.D.-Ph.D. students (and graduates) apart from the mainstream is our
  21. courage. We have the courage to do what we choose to do even if it is not
  22. considered to be "traditional" or "conventional". The true success stories
  23. result from the efforts of people who are willing to go out on a limb.
  24.         Anyway, to make a long story short, I would like to express my support
  25. to Scott and encourage him and others to pursue the goals that they have set
  26. for themselves. I would also like to express my opinion (opinions are not
  27. irrational or illogical and do not need proof) which is that precedent is not
  28. necessary in achieving one's goals.
