  13. [I know these lists aren't the usual places for selling equipment, but they're
  14. some of the few where the majority of readers are IBM (or PCM) equipment
  15. users, and I'd like to see this equipment go to a good home.]

  17. Last week, our 3083 system was shut down and powered off.  Now the system is
  18. looking for a new place to live (except for our 7171, which has been spoken
  19. for).

  21. The system will be sold to the highest bidder(s) willing to de-install
  22. and transport it.  We're even willing to break up the system and sell
  23. individual pieces of equipment!  All serious offers will be considered.

  25. So, if you want an entire 3083 system or any part of one, say for spare parts
  26. (everyone needs extra TCMs, IBM memory, and a 400Hz motor-generator, right?),
  27. this is your chance to pick up "good stuff CHEAP".

  36. Note: Just about all the IBM brand equipment was under IBM maintenance until
  37. the shutdown ... the exceptions are most of the terminals, two of
  38. 3380-B04s, and, of course, the DACU (IBM didn't offer maintenance on the
  39. DACU).  We are supposed to be receiving a maintenance qualification letter
  40. for the equipment.
