  11. There are several ways of finding out a _registered_ Internet Host name
  12. for a Bitnet node.  Of course if the NAD did not bother to register
  13. this equivalence in the Bitearn Nodes database using the Bitnic's
  14. UPDATE procedure, it is more difficult to find (but not totally
  15. impossible).

  17. Perhaps the easiest way, if you have access to Bitnet Messaging e.g.,
  18. VM TELL or VMS SEND, is to issue the following command to your closest
  19. listserv site --

  21.      TELL LISTERV AT node SHOW NODE bitnode /INTERNET
  22.  
  23. If you would like a list of ALL such registered names, the following
  24. could be sent to retieve the monthly-updated file (1015 lines currently)
  25.  
  26.      TELL LISTSERV AT BITNIC GET INTERNET LISTING
  27.  
  28. (Of course all of the above Listserv commands could be sent via RFC822
  29. mail or a flat file to either the listserv's Bitnet or Internet address
  30. e.g., listserv@bitnic.educom.edu.)
