  14. Try the area of the Baton Rouge revolt.  What about Texas?--we gave up all
  15. claims by the Adams-Onis Treaty.  Texans will get mad, but it is only through
  16. an "unequal treaty" [a popular word in this part of the world] that Santa
  17. Anna was forced to sign that Texas had legitimacy from 1836-1845.  That treaty
  18. was not recognized by Mexico as being valid and they do not recognize Texas
  19. as part of the U. S.  until the Treaty of Guadaloupe-Hidalgo in 1848.
