  12.          George Dyson, in persueing the evolution of the Baidarka (Kyak,Canue),
  13. developoed a methode for fabricating those sceleton/skin structures that I think
  14. would prove aplicable to our friend, the dome.

  16. Mr. Dyson Made the frame of his vehicle from aluminiem tubeing, lashed together
  17. with nylon thread and reinforced with gussets, also of aluminiem.  He exper-
  18. amented with several skins, from fiber-glass to nylon impregnated with
  19. neoprean and hyperon.   The  boats he fabricated by this methode where both
  20. strong and light.  Best of all, they required fue tools to manuefacture,
  21. no heavy aquipment, and very simply methods (sewing and simple fabrication of
  22. metals).

  24. Add one more nifty idea to the dome pile.

  30. For me, the answer is simple: NO LAND.
  31. I can conceptualize all day, sketch out neet dezines, make plans...
  32. but untill I have a piece of earth to call my own, I will never make one...

  34. Round where I live, a 50x70 ft lot runs for 65 thousand $$$, starting...
  35. I, if I could find full time employment, at say, $5 an hour, 40 hrs a week,
  36. in about 15 YEARS I could afford to by a lot...assueming I forsake all other
  37. dreams...

  39. Add in building costs...however minimal...
  40. That dream is too distant, too far away.

  42. I am very pore.  This may not be your case.
  43. If you are not, I say to you:  Why are you not LIVING YOUR DREAM?
  44. If it is making domes, DO IT!  Others will say "Neet, could I do that?"
  45. or "By God, stand back, that thing looks dangerouse!"
  46. Eather way, you will have done it.  If you have the means by which to
  47. change your ideas into reality, do it.
