- The building that houses our College of Ed computer lab is scheduled for
- renovation, and, since as computer lab coordinator, I'm on the building
- renovation committee. I would appreciate any ideas about effective lab
- floorplans, etc. We need to plan for expansion, so I'm projecting that we
- will eventually have (so need to plan for) 25 Macs, 25 IBM compatibles, 6
- Apple IIgs's, printers, 2 scanners, two (?) modems, and networking. I
- envision 2 areas, with a sliding wall that can be closed when one of the
- rooms is being used for a class. Do we want to use 2 networks or 1? We
- want to provide access to the computer lab (through networking) from the
- classrooms that will also be in the building, and possibly also to the
- offices.
-
- I have some ideas, but would appreciate input about other lab settings.
- The renovation committee will meet shortly after the spriong semester
- starts, and I need to have suggestions for consideration.
-
- Although I'll be away for the holidays, I anxiously await the helpful
- responses that always result from my pleas. Thanks.
