- The new Hitachi 3750s are good drives. Again, in our environment,
- where our equipment is hit heavily by users and runs continuously
- around the clock, I really prefer reliability (albeit as fast as
- possible) rather than trying to get every last bit of speed.

- The Hitachis are not all that expensive, depending on the vendor. We
- have been buying them for around $400, which is not a bad price at
- all considering the quality and reliability of the drive.

- None of this is to knock Texel at all. On the contrary, I have read
- several good things about their drives. However, the Hitachis are
- not that expensive and I have greater peace of mind using them in our
- installation.
