  13. In regards to the Texel DM 3024 CDROM drives.
  14. I have installed one of these drives using an Adaptec 1542 host adapter
  15. and the Trantor driver software.
  16. We are using Meridian's CDNET software. It worked very nicely and appeared
  17. to operated more quickly that the Hitachi 1700S drives that we have been
  18. using. However, that might be expected considering that they are rated to be
  19. not only faster access drives but also double speed. The thing we won't
  20. know for a while yet is how dependable they are. I ordered six more of them
  21. in spite of that.

  23. Look at the newest issue of PC Magazine. It picks the NEC CDR 74 as the
  24. editors choice, but, says generally good things about the Texel.
