  13. Whenever I start up Lucid Emacs 19.3, the minibuffer appears 
  14. with 2 rows instead of the normal 1. However, moving the
  15. main window around with the mouse causes the minibuffer to be
  16. resized to its normal height of 1 row.

  18. How do I get the minibuffer to initially appear as 1 row high?
  19. If this helps, my .Xdefaults include the lines for Lemacs:

  22. Emacs*menubar*font: -adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

  24. which causes my menubar to be bigger than normal. Could it be this
  25. that is causing the problem?
