  13. If the problem is how to deal with a channel when the one channel op
  14. leaves, why not institute an automatic kick for everyone on the channel?

  16. You would have to be sure a connection was established with the ops 
  17. server first, as to be sure that therre hadn't been a netsplit, but
  18. otherwise, might it not work, with a few modifications?

  20. One modification might be to make it so the previous channel-op had to wait
  21. longer to rejoin the channel than the others- so that in effect he couldn't
  22. do an automatic kick of everyone around without losing the chance of
  23. getting the channel op back for him/herself.
