- Why don't more people use Matt Madison's NETLIB package? It allows
- you to write code that can be run under UCX, Multinet, CMU-TEK, and
- PSC implementations of TCP-IP (and other vendors could be added
- pretty easily). The transport used can even be defined as a logical
- name at runtime.

- It seems to me that this (or something very much like it) is the ideal
- solution, but almost nobody ever does it. I wonder why?
