  33. Why don't more people use Matt Madison's NETLIB package?  It allows
  34. you to write code that can be run under UCX, Multinet, CMU-TEK, and
  35. PSC implementations of TCP-IP (and other vendors could be added
  36. pretty easily).  The transport used can even be defined as a logical
  37. name at runtime.

  39. It seems to me that this (or something very much like it) is the ideal
  40. solution, but almost nobody ever does it.  I wonder why?
