- Unfortunately this looks like it will be too big to fit it into one
- part -- the problem is that some of the nodes in the network can't
- handle enormous files. (That is also likely to be a problem with
- getting the program by a mail server, the mail server will probably
- also have to break it up into pieces to ensure that it gets through
- some of the more limited mailers out there).
-
- But the pieces could have been made bigger -- it looks like it would
- have been OK if it were broken up into 10 or 15 parts (can't be sure
- until we see exactly how big all the pieces are). That would have
- been somewhat less trouble than 47 parts.
-
- You should however be able to get all the pieces and concatenate them
- together -- if you extract them under VMS, you can just do an extract
- command, go to the next article, do a CTRL-B or two to recall the extract
- command, edit it to include the part number, and so forth; that's
- a little trouble but not too bad. Then you can do a `copy vmsnetrek.*
- vmsnetrek.com' to copy all the parts into one big file, and go on from
- there. Or if this is trouble because of the system you're on, you may
- be able to get the complete distribution by FTP from a site that has
- done all of this for you.
-
- Good luck,
