-
- All of this says to me is that a utility as site specific as Finger will
- never satisfy everyone. Furthermore I feel that an organization such as TGV
- should not bother to try.
-
- In the early days of multinet, TGV supplied the source to finger, we
- modified that source and thats what we run today (with no clusterwide
- fingering :( ).
-
- My I suggest going back to supplying source for simple "religious" utilities
- such as finger either on the TGV distribution or via ftp from
- public.tgv.com?
-
- Sure we can grab one of the many Unix versions out there and rewrite it, but
- it would be a whole lot easier to work with a VMS functional source to begin
- with.
